Green (unripe) plantains, peeled, sliced into thin rounds- 4
Coconut oil- 2 cups
Water- 3 cups
Turmeric powder- 1 teaspoon
Chilli powder- 1 tablespoon
Salt- to taste
METHOD OF PREPARATION
1.Immerse the banana slices in a solution of water, salt, and turmeric powder for about 5 minutes.
2.Mix it well and drain the water completely.
3.Heat oil in a pan over high flame.
4.When the oil is hot enough, add the slices in small batches.
5.When it starts smoking, add the slices in small batches.
6.Fry till the slices turn golden brown and then transfer them to a paper napkin to drain the excess oil.
7.Sprinkle salt and chili powder at the top and let it cool.
8.Always store in an air-tight container.
