I don't call it a complete meal, it can be a really tasty broth and also help in shedding those extra calories.The good thing about this soup is, it has chicken chunks in it. Chicken suppresses the Green Tea's strong flavor.Vegetarians can replace chicken with veggies.So let's get started ...
Calories intake: 200 calories per serving
1)Water - 4 cups
2)Curry leaves - 1/4 cup
3)Mint leaves - 1/4 cup
4)Basil(Tulsi) leaves -(a few) 4-5 leaves
5)Coriander leaves - handful of it
6)Ginger - 1 tsp
7)Chilli flakes - 1 tsp
8)Pepper powder - 2 tsp
9)Honey - 1 tsp
10)Boiled chicken - diced into small pieces
11)Boiled vegetables of your choice(mushrooms are the must).
12)Lemon juice - 2 lemons
13)Salt - as required
14)Green tea bags - 3
15)Butter - 1 tsp
16)Onion chopped - 1
17)Garlic finely chopped - 4 cloves
18)Soy sauce - 1 tsp
19)Egg whites - 2 eggs
20)Spring onions - 1/2 cup
*Method of preparation:
1) Saute the onions in the butter until golden brown and keep them aside.
2)Bring the water to boil, add curry leaves, Mint leaves, Basil leaves, Coriander leaves, Ginger and strain the broth.Add the Green Tea bags into the broth and leave it for 5 mins.
3)Boil the boneless chicken and vegetables and add them to the broth.
4)Turn on the heat and let the broth simmer for 20 mins after adding garlic, honey, chili flakes, pepper powder, soy sauce, lemon juice.
5)Pour the egg whites into the broth and wait for 5 mins until it thickens and forms fiber like.
6)Garnish with tossed onions and spring onions.
This can be enjoyed with some Grill chicken and brown rice/noodles combo.Consume this soup every day for breakfast and dinner for better results.
