Yes, of-course the title seems inappropriate and not-so-positive! But give your judgemental, little mind a rest and hear me out first.
Imagine if you are in a flight that is landing in a terrible weather, and you are shit-scared about your life and you begin to imagine the final moments. Most of us will imagine the hospital beds and crying family members and ambulances and similar stuff, rather than thinking about that long string of choices and habits that lead us to this final moment.
So it's safe to assume that our death is a work-in-progress over the course of our life. Each breath, each bite, each late night decision, each mistake or accomplishment is taking us one step closer to our unavoidable, dramatic detachment from this world!
So back to the question, putting it in a different way, "what are you choosing to let kill you?"
The answer to this seems pretty straight forward, right? Choose what you love. And die doing it. But just as few of us are going to be lucky enough to find love at the first sight, few of us will find our passion at the very first try. Or maybe even at the 10th try. Or the 200th. The point here is, you have to keep trying unless you find it.
A famous author and poet, Charles Bukowski said, Were here to laugh at the odds and live our lives so well that Death will tremble to take us."
And when Death does come, how will he take you?
