I was nine when I read Mischief in Fez. I remember picking up a book from the shelf at one of the numerous parties I would be forced to attend. Since then and almost ten years later, I have loved that story. Ive lost count of how many times I read that story. But when I fell in love with Fez, I fell love with Morocco. The author Eleanor Hoffmann beautifully described life in Morocco. From the markets to the households, to the architecture, the cuisine, the landscapes, the people and even their myths, beliefs, rituals and superstitions. I have never been to Morocco, but I have certainly experienced it. And while it might just sound a little absurd, I absolutely recommend going to Morocco. Not because Ive been there but simply just because I have in way wandered through its streets and I absolutely loved it. I think its a spiffing country, with all its natural beauty and rich culture. Morocco is a perfect mix of ancient wonders of men and nature. It is said both the people and the place itself reflect such warm hospitality, it makes you want to keep coming back.
