Dad: My daughters will pursue medicine when they grow up and I'll never have to go to another doctor for a check up in my old age.
Grandmother: It is not necessary to give them a degree. Let them stay at home after schooling. Anyway, you will marry them off. If they were boys I would have supported your decision.
Dad: They both are the two eyes that I have and one day I want to be recognized by their names in my society. I will provide them with the finest education and I'll make sure they are not less of anything in their life. They are my children and nothing can change my affection towards them.
Me: Dad I have an exam tomorrow and I have lost my pencil.
Dad: You have become so careless! Get back to study, I'll get them.
I had asked for one pencil but he comes back with a pack of pencils, eraser, scale and sharpener.
On the way to my school in the school van, I realized that I forgot my writing pad for my exams, it was a big deal because my teachers did make it an issue. I studied in a convent school which explains all the discipline.
Dad: *Stood in front of my school with the writing pad and papers to write the exam. He had this death stare as he spot me*
Me: Daddy thank you. *with a smile*
(He did scold me later in front of my classmates for which I was embarrassed)
He had reached there by a city bus before my school van picked up other children from my locality.
Daddy, I wish you could read this.
Dear Dad, you were always there to wipe my tears and blow my nose. Maybe I wouldnt feel this guilty if I had expressed how much you mean to me. I am sorry, I had taken you for granted. You were, are and will always be my hero. No one can care for me and love me as much as you did. One day, I am sure I will make you proud daddy and yes, people will recognize you by my name someday. I love you, daddy.
