Writing well is one of those things thats seen to be hard to do or only a skill possessed by people with a natural talent. Trying to convey stories and thoughts in a constructive and flowing manner can leave many people feeling frustration and lack of real ability.
But Im here to tell you that, as a fan of Life hack, I believe anyone can become a great writer with the right knowledge.
Ive come across many of the common issues people encounter when they write and discovered the writing tips to allow them to write 10 times better.
1. The Common Difficulties People Have When Writing
Anyone whos sat down to write something profound, or even just to get their points across in an effective manner, will have experienced those common feelings of writers block. When we experience these, our writing often suffers; becoming fragmented, simple and shallow. The flow can become messy and hard to follow and in danger of even being boring and ordinary.
2. The Hacks You Need to Follow to Unlock Your Writing Potential
There are several things to keep in mind when you sit down to write and by following these hacks, you can steer your writing to that of flow, appeal and coherency.
3. Dont Google General Ideas on Your Topic
Trying to think of ideas can be the first hurdle for many people. If you have a particular topic and you feel stuck for ideas, dont automatically search google with your general topic. Instead, try to narrow down the scope first because google will only spit out very generic and cliched tips that people have written time and time again. Brainstorming helps narrow down your topic and create different points to elaborate in your writing. Readers of your work will then feel that youre really making good points.
4. Dont Dwell on the Beginning, Focus on the Body
When we read things, the headline is what gets our attention which leads us to the main body of the writing. As a writer, this is the other way around.
When writing, the key is to write the main content first and then tune the headline accordingly. But this should also be applied to the introductionfocus on the main content and points first so you know the heart of what youre writing about and then think about the beginning in relation to it.
5. Avoid Perfectionism
Being a perfectionist could be a massive disadvantage when it comes to your writing.
We all want our work to be perfect but this can lead to the temptation to rewrite paragraphs once you start the next one which can be detrimental to the overall piece. This creates a lack of time and while your introduction may be spot on, the rest of your writing can end up disappointing your readers.
Editing is an important part of the process but leave this until the end when you can see the big picture rather than doing it as you go.
The key is getting your ideas down in an organised manner. Worry about any changes once these are down.

It seems like we have two options in life: Succeed or fail. Get what you worked for and youre a success. Fall short of that, and youre a failure. We think about these two outcomes as if they were binary.
But maybe its time we rethink failure. That is, how we can benefit failure to provide advantages that we might not achieve otherwise. Here are four of the most important ways.
1. Use the emotions from failure to become stronger
Failure seems to imply that nothing is gained. Hours of work and energy have been put into an endeavor, but the output is zero. Looking within ourselves, might give us a different perspective on failing. Throughout our lives, we learn about the ingredients to succeed: diligence, strategy, and self-confidence, amongst other things.
What about qualities gained by dealing with failure? If we take the time to understand on how we feel during difficult situations, we might find that we understand ourselves and the people around us better.
2. Re frame failure to motivate yourself
In psychology, theres a term called cognitive reappraisal, which is a way of changing our emotions during a stressful situation. When we regulate negative emotions, were better able to cope with difficult events and reduce feelings of depression. Your life might feel like its come to a stand still.
But if you start thinking about the failure as an attempt or an experiment, you become more forward-thinking. Instead of seeing failure as the end of the life, try to see it as an important part of the journey to improve yourself. Maybe what you wished for wasnt a right fit for you, so failure is a way of opening yourself up to improved opportunities.
3. Look at failure as a lesson
Many people have a habit to shy away from failure. It sometimes gets hidden under the carpet or avoided altogether. But if left unattended, small failures can turn into a large failures.
Instead of blaming others and acting as nothing happened, agree that a mistake occurred and see it as a learning opportunity. Ask yourself: What can I take learn from this failure? How can I improve for the next time? If you see failures positively, you can start moving yourself in the right direction.
4. Apply skills from your failure
Showing up early, putting in the work, and being the last to leave doesnt guarantee the results you want. As bitter as it sounds, sometimes wanting something badly enough doesnt mean youll get it.
Failure stings. When you dedicate years of your life into something only to hit a barricade, it feels like a waste of time. But if carried wisely, those skills from a failure can be applied to something else.
In the process of working towards an outcome, we train ourselves to think and act in certain ways. Regardless of whether you achieve success or not, you still carry those skillsand its that learning growth which shapes the person you become.

The irony about apps is that eventually I feel chat bots are going to replace them. Remember in 2002 when to text someone you had to use the number keys on your phone? Yeah, well when bots are fully implemented, typing directions into a map app on your phone to find the coffee shop youre suppose to meet your friend at will seem just as prehistoric as texting. I chose 5 apps that vary in topic so hopefully everyone reading this will find at least one useful for their tastes.
Here are 5 apps Im using right now.
Quite simply the best podcast app on the market. It allows us to bring up pretty much any Podcast in existence, see what our friends are listening to, see how popular a podcast is, and save any one that we want on my phone to listen to later. The app has a very user friendly format making it easy to find just what youre looking for. Great for while in the car, at the gym, or before headed to bed at night. Definitely put this one in your app toolbox.

The mission to become a better version of yourself often feels like a roller coaster ride. Its hard. And its usually so uneven. You can end in failure. But life is a journey, not a marathon, so you always have another opportunity to re start and improve.
Today people actually look out for secrets, tricks, and hacks that will make Everything better right now. But unfortunately life doesnt work that way. There are no overnight successes. Think of all the outstanding people you truly admire. They didnt succeed because of one big move, but rather a series of small and consistent actions over time.
Your performance and ability to get things done is bound to brain performance. A big, bold goal looks scary to your brain. And when your brain encounters scary, it goes into freeze mode. You dont want that. If you constantly strain yourself, you will lose the required energy you need to take the necessary action to get better.
Setting a goal, no matter how simple is always the easy part. Everyone has goals. The main focus is not about the result, but it is about the sacrifices required to achieve your goals. You can inspire yourself to take action. The hard, long process is the only way though. You cant achieve massive life success with a quick fix. Nobody gets the success that easy.
If you want to achieve your goals, create a system that works. Instead of a goal, design a great system or process. That way, you will always win. When you achieve your short-term goals, your next goals wont be tough to achieve. Having a structure is what matters. Committing to the process makes a big difference.
Your first step to improving your life and becoming the best version of yourself wont be easy. Nobody can promise you that things will be easy but they will get better. It pays to take a small action to grow from there. Remember, you are better off trying and crawling than anyone else who isnt trying.

At every step of our lives, we meet a lot of people. Some stay, while some don't. The ones who do are called friends. As you spend time with them, your bond grows stronger and deeper. These friends know all your little secrets. They know what annoys you and what gets you giggling like crazy. They understand your needs better than anyone else.
There are childhood friends, school friends, college friends, and then there are work companions. No, Im not talking about the people you advise at your workplace. This post pays tribute to the things that get your work done faster via software. Every profession has a software which makes life so much more easy. Without these 'work companions,' we probably wouldn't have got that promotion we are so happy about.
Here are some illustrations which are a tribute to the software people at work:
1. Copy writer to the Microsoft word - Words cant describe how much you mean to me.
2. Photo editor to the Photoshop - You always make me smile.
3. Bloggers to WordPress - We tell each other everything.
4. Motion graphics artist to Adobe after effects - You are the key to my happiness.
5. Architect to Auto cad - We bring the house down.
6. Graphic Designer to illustrator - You are my anchor.
7. Software Engineer to Java - We respect the bro code.
8. Web developer to HTML 5 - We are on the same page.
9. Cab driver to Google Maps - I would be lost without you.
10. Sound editor to Logic Pro X - We talk like broken records.
Happy friendship day, people!
