Growing up can be fairly tricky for the most of us. What starts as a fun car ride watching out the window, can turn into San Fransteaktown and broccoli pizza pretty quickly! That's the point when we realise the glittercastle world we thought to be ours - welllll........... might not be all that glittery after all.
Did you notice that little sign on the side of the road you rode past on the way to growing up? WELCOME TO THE REAL WORLD, it said. We all occasionally have a little freak out over that sign, as we all imagine ourselves to be this mushy, softy little thing, and nervous about taking on that rocky world out there. We wonder if we're the only one who feels this way.
Fear not folks! It turns out we all think about the same things... independently.
It may seem surprising but the truth is that we are all the same- but in a unique way. We think the same things but hide it from each other and no one really realizes we were all headed down the same lane in the first place.
A lesson we can take away from this fact, is that it's OKAY. It's okay to be scared. It's okay to feel like your emotions have lost their way and are making you take terrible decisions. It's okay to feel like running away.
We are all mushy soft things pretending to be impenetrable on the outside.
You might lose your bing bongs. Things get lost along the way. But keep in mind to never ever ever lose your inner GOOFBALLS!
Sure, growing up makes a lot of things change. But if you learn to hold on and seek shelter in your loved ones when the weather gets bumpyyoull find there are some things that never do.
Happiness isnt a moment just filled with delight- its a moment that comes swirling in joy and sadness which gets to your core and leaves you changed from the inside out.
