There is a certain phenomenon (fictional) that Douglas Adams mentions in his book The Hitchhikers guide to the galaxy (yes, I know...book for geeks. Whatever. Read it.) It's called an SEP or Somebody Else's Problem. He defines it as -"an SEP is something that we can't see, or don't see, or our brain doesn't let us see, because we think that it is somebody else's problem." Kudos to Adams for coming up with that one! Cause it's not just science fiction, it's philosophy. We never notice something if it's not our problem to deal with it.
Well now, that's just not fair. And don't try explaining it with the "life is not fair" speech, because the people who say it are the ones who are most likely to treat others unfairly. We don't see the elephant in the room because we choose to ignore it. Life is hard, so the least we can do is to try and make it a little bit easier for ourselves.
Start with the simple things. Be nice to other people. Smile. Gonna lose nothing by doing that. You don't know whose day you might make. Of course no one's gonna be cheerful ALL the time, we all have those days when nothing goes your way and just all around sucky. But some days are like that. No matter however bad or good things are, it's not gonna stay the same. That's why it's important to appreciate the good days as they pass us by.
And keep in mind this important thing: NOTHING is as important as it first seems to be. So..... you know, there's no reason to freak out or stress over. Things never turn out as you planned it to be, but if you just hold your horses, relax, face the problems logically everything will come together at the end. You'll see...
