Khandvi is also known as Patuli or Dahivadi in Gujarat. This dish consistes of yellowish, tightly rolled bite sized pieces and made from gram flour and yogurt. Here is an easy method to prepare Gujarati Khandvi in your home.
Main ingredients used in Khandvi:
Gram flour cup
Yogurt 1 cup
Asafoetida - 2 pinch
Turmeric powder 1 pinch
Little salt to taste
1 tsp oil
Green chillies chopped
Chopped coriander leaves
Take a bowl and put gram flour, yogurt, asafoetida, turmeric powder, salt and fluff up it nicely without lump. Put it into cooker and cook in high flame for 3 whistle. Then cook it on slow flame for 5 to 8 minutes. Put oil to the flat surface vessel and spread the pressure cooked battle then allow it to cool. Make the slits and feel with knife and roll it. Then place it on serving plate.
Take pan and heat the oil and add mustard seeds, asafoetida, green chillies, curry leaves and fry it. Transfer that mixture on top of the serving plate and decorate with coriander leaves.
