India is known to be a secular nation and this fact is time and again proven right by its nationals. This time, it was the turn of the people of Kerala to prove the strong Hindu-Muslim brotherhood and what better time than the holy month of Ramadan.
Amidst various communal tensions and row over cattle slaughter ban, a Hindu temple in Kerala hosted a mass Iftar party for their Muslim brothers observing fast.
The Lakshmi Narasimhamurthy Vishnu temple in Kerala's Malappuram district invited Muslims for a vegetarian iftar party which was gracefully accepted by over 500 people - men, women and children included.
The invitation is said to be a token of gratitude towards the Muslim communities kind gesture in helping rebuild the century-old temple.
