After becoming India’s most trusted Fast Moving Consumer Goods brand, Yoga guru Baba Ramdev’s Patanjali on Sunday entered the telecom sector.A new patanjali sim has been recently brought into the market. The Patanjali BSNL 144 plan has been priced at Rs. 144. The plan will be used with the sim card the state-run telecom company has launched in partnership with yoga guru Ramdev Patanjali Ayurveda. This sim is currently available to the FMCG company’s staff and soon will reach the general public. It promises its customers 60 GB data and unlimited free voice calls for 30 days.

The 144 plan will be valid only for 30 days whereas Rs. 792 and Rs. 1584 plans come with the validity of 180 days and 365 days respectively.
According to BSNL, the special plan- Patanjali BSNL 144 is currently available to members of patanjali organizations, including Bharat Swabhiman nyas, Mahila Prakoshta, Patanjali Kisan Sewa, Yuva Bharat and Patanjali Yoga Samiti. Provides services like free voice calling with free roaming, 2GB data per day and 100 free sms daily.
The non-members of Patanjali family can subscribe and buy Swadeshi Samriddhi card of patanjali and produce the same to buy the plan. This paid membership card will not only help the individuals who are not employed with the patanjali groups to get the sim but also give them upto 10% discount on FMCG company and patanjali ayurveda products. This card comes at a membership fee of Rs. 100.
Baba Ramdev told ANI that customers can soon avail their Swadeshi Samriddhi cards from the five lakh BSNL counters across the country. The Swadeshi Samriddhi Card, an initiative to promote digital transactions, can be used as a debit card at Patanjali stores, hospitals and wellness centres. Users would need to put in Rs 1,000 and maintain a balance of Rs 500 as well as pay Rs 20 per year as annual charge. Talking about the company’s motive “prosperity for charity” the card will also give a life insurance cover of Rs 5 lakh and an accident cover of Rs 2.5 lakh. Sunil Garg, BSNL’s Chief General Manager said “Patanjali’s plan is BSNL’s best plan. The members of the Patanjali has to just show their identity and there SIM will be activated soon after some paper work.”
Thus this low-cost plan is available for everyone.
As a surprise, yoga guru is also launching a new messaging app that would compete whatsapp called Kimbho! #swadeshimessagingplatform. Kimbho will allow users to chat privately as well as on groups and also has free phone and video calls. It has features similar to WhatsApp and users can share audio, photos, videos, GIFs, location and even doodles.
